Distributed protocols, cryptography & P2P
Core protocol engineering, cryptography and peer-to-peer systems. This is the R&D half of the studio — the part that sits under the applications rather than beside them.
The disciplines
Cryptography, distributed protocols, decentralised networks, privacy and cybersecurity. These are the subjects the studio has worked on for years, and they are what the applications are built on top of.
Who does it
Smart contract developers and core protocol engineers, working inside the ecosystems they contribute to rather than from outside them.
Peer-to-peer
Peer-to-peer is not a slogan here: Wesh is a messenger with no server and no trace, and Paris P2P is a festival the coop runs on the subject. The engineering and the community are the same people.
Open by default
The protocol work is published as it is written. Contributions to Gno.land, Gno realms and the tooling around them are public, and the yearly contribution report is a video anyone can watch.
